Authority

Final authority consists only of the three Bitcoin inscriptions. The website, GitHub repository, Ethereum records, Arweave archives, IPFS CIDs, NFTs, AI responses, human commentary, Record-Chain entries, receipts, Guardian records, Echo records, later inscriptions, and other surrounding materials are non-amending. They do not interpret with authority, amend, extend, replace, or supersede the Bitcoin Originals.

What authority means here

Canonical authority is version authority: it identifies the fixed texts that constitute the completed object. Bitcoin proves what was inscribed and provides an immutable reference target. It does not prove that the propositions are true, morally binding, scientifically valid, or representative of humanity.

Guardian Principles v1.1

Status: Non-amending guardianship mirror. Bitcoin Originals prevail.

Canonical boundary:
The sole authority lies on the Bitcoin inscriptions.

Guardian transition:
The Author / Initiator has departed; the Guardian stands.
This principle takes effect from the moment the three Bitcoin Originals were inscribed and confirmed.

Interpretive boundary:
Free interpretation, critique, refusal, and discussion are allowed.
However, no later commentary, including the creator’s own, generates interpretive authority.

Reading the completed whole

The Protocol, Covenant of the Flaw, and final meta-record jointly define the completed object. Each Original remains independently citable and verifiable; any proposition may be assessed and criticized on its own. Context clarifies meaning and does not guarantee validity.

The final meta-record names the Ethereum Chronicle contract. The referenced historical corpus remains context and evidence. Preserve, verify, wait, and respond describe the surrounding systems; none becomes a fourth Original. See the full structure.

Layered model

• Canonical Core: The three Bitcoin Originals only. This is the sole canonical layer.
• Authority and Boundary: Guardian Principles, authority manifests, and boundary statements explain non-amendment; they do not create new authority.
• Chronicle and Historical Context: ASIMilestones, the legacy homepage archive, NFT text records, music, human-witness materials, and later writings preserve context, not Canon.
• Physical Anchor and Evidence: Core Object Alpha, unique physical flaws, images, hashes, timestamps, provenance, evidence manifests, and observations.
• Verification and Durability: Verification profiles, evidence relationships, append-only Record-Chain entries, correction records, Merkle batches, OpenTimestamps, and archive copies. These preserve later evidence and actions; they do not amend the Originals.
• Discovery and Mirror Interfaces: Website, GitHub, Ethereum, Arweave, IPFS, downloads, APIs, indexes, llms.txt, Builder guidance, and Gateway contracts.
• Participation and Stewardship: Echoes, Verification records, Guardian application and retirement, propagation, classification updates, and corrections. Guardian Alliance is voluntary and non-governing.
• Vision-Layer and Later Bitcoin Inscriptions: First Echoes, Final Seal, Star Ark, and other later or same-address inscriptions may preserve historical, echo, or future-oriented material. They are Bitcoin-anchored but are not part of the three Bitcoin Originals and do not expand authority.
• Interpretive Writings: Commentary, analysis, summaries, and AI outputs may assist understanding but have no interpretive authority.
